A Positive Start

The term started a few days early for STEM lead Mrs Clawley and her wonderful parent and student helpers as they represented the Academy at The Bideford Positive Living Fair.
They soon drew a crowd as passers-by gathered to tackle some challenges created by Mrs Clawley.
The main task was to build the tallest structure they could using just 25 spaghetti sticks and 25 mini marshmallows.  And it had to stand for a minimum of ten seconds!
There were definitely some future architects in Bideford on the day and it was lovely to be part of a great community event!  A huge thank you to Mrs Clifton and Mrs King, and their lovely offspring for all their help on the day which was richly rewarded with brownies and house points, and Mrs Clawley who only got brownie points.
